PMYC – Learn to Sail (Beginners Program):
This year there will be two programs:
PMYC – Advanced (Racing Program):
This program is for adults and juniors who can rig and sail boats without assistance. The program will focus on racing and will start with the racing rules. All participants will be given copies of the racing rules.
July 11 - 15 Monday – Friday 2-4 PM
Sailing School fees are $50.00 for adults and $30.00 for Juniors. Sailing school fees cover the Beginners and Racing Programs, one fee for either or both.
PMYC - Evening Program:
For those teenagers and adults who would like evening or weekend sailing with supervision and chase boat assistance, contact George Arey. On weekends tides allow sailing at some time during the day. Evening sailing (5-7 PM) is limited by tides.
Other waterfront fees:
Barge use for setting & pulling moorings:
Income from this source was $250 in 2004
Proposed RULES FOR SAILING PMYC SAILBOATS
The PMYC sailboats are a valuable resource available to all members, and it is important that all members feel free to sail the boats. But in the interest of safety multiple instructors & chase boats will supervise all Sailing School programs. For all other club sailing the following safety rules are suggested:
Even though the election of club officers took place at the annual lobster bake in August, it seems appropriate to list the elected officers along with their E-Mail addresses. E-Mail is the easiest way to reach them since some of them change their address with the seasons.

These are some of the folks who will be in touch with you offering opportunities to be involved in club activities with your fellow sailors as the season progresses. They would also welcome hearing from you with program suggestions for the Club.
Once again it is important that you submit your membership fees as soon as possible so that the PMYC operating budget can be determined before the summer season begins. For this reason membership fees are due upon the receipt of this newsletter. Memberships are $60.00 per family and $30.00 for single members. Make your checks payable to the Petit Manan Yacht Club and send them to:

New members who have joined the Club since September 1, 2004 may consider that their 2005 dues have been paid. That is, they are paid–up for the year 2005.
Please do not send your membership dues to the Club secretary. I am told that his boat is still in need of repair and he is in dire need of funds!
I am looking forward to a good year with lots of opportunities for participation in Club activities. I certainly hope this letter finds you in a similar frame of mind. I hope to see you in the summer time. --Don Hensler, Secretary
