Pot Lucks *** Please remember to notify the host/hostess a day or 2 before if you are going to attend a potluck! This greatly assists them with their planning. Anyone interested in making a presentation at one of the potlucks please contact the Vice Commodore and we will schedule you.
July 15th (Saturday) - Lobster Bake & Annual Meeting. 1 PM Happy Hour, 2 PM Serving Begins
Fair Weather Location: Frank Taylor's. (Directions)
Foul Weather Location: Narraguagus Snowmobile Club
Directions: In Cherryfield at the blinking light, travel north on Rt. 193, 1,2 miles to Ridge Road. Right on Ridge Road, go 1.6 miles, Snowmobile Club is on the left. A decision will be made on the morning of July 15th if weather is questionable and will be posted on the PMYC website. If you have any doubts, call Gail at 483-4712 or Rosalind at 483-6011.
July 12th Sailing School Picnic, Tentatively scheduled. Details available at Sailing School. Other members are welcome, contact Gail Moorhouse.

July 30th - Hemenway Regatta, click for details. The Regatta will be sailed on a new course in Narraguagus Bay in the vicinity of Baldwin Head and can be viewed from McClellan Park, see our website for complete details. Entrants must register by 1200, July 28, 2006. For more information and registration, contact Alan Krulisch.
July 30st (Sunday), Post Regatta Party in Cherryfield at June and Wren McMains' at 5:00 PM (the racers may be late). Everyone is welcome regardless of whether or not they race. Please bring some kind of appetizer. (Phone/Directions)
August 19th, (Saturday), 5:30 PM - Bob and Margaret Stillman will host the August Potluck at their Fickett's Point home in Milbridge. Please call with your menu contributions. Parking is limited so please car pool. You may want to bring a jacket depending on weather. (Phone/Directions)
September 9th (Saturday) at 5:30PM hosted by Barbara and Craig Snapp at the Bairnbrae "cottage" on Petit Manan Point. (Phone/Directions)

There is a proposal to go to Sommesville the first weekend in August. If you are interested contact the Vice Commodore, Tom Potter.
Anyone interested in kayak/canoe trips this summer please contact John Schlegel.
If you would like to participate in or lead impromptu boating trips this summer, contact the Vice Commodore, Tom Potter, and we will develop a call list when the conditions are right.

The Racing (Advanced) program is for adults and juniors who can rig and sail boats without assistance. The program will focus on racing and will start with the racing rules which will be handed out during the course.
Sailing Program Fees:
$50 for the Beginners Class
$50 for the Adult Class
$50 for the Race Week
Race week fees will be waived for those who volunteer their time for the duration of one of the other classes
Other waterfront fees:
Barge use for setting & pulling moorings:
If mooring owner helps: $50
If mooring owner doesn't help: $100
Evening Program:
For those teenagers and adults who would like evening or weekend sailing with supervision and chase boat assistance, contact George Arey at 546-7491. On weekends tides allow sailing at some time during the day. Evening sailing (5-7 PM) is limited by tides.
RULES FOR SAILING PMYC SAILBOATS
The PMYC sailboats are a valuable resource available to all members, and it is important that all members feel free to sail the boats. But all the Safety Rules in Winter 2006 Newsletter must be followed.
Always remember to wear a PFD or life jacket at all times when on the docks or in a boat.

Cost: $17. Per person, children under 12, $10 per child (no charge for club members or children who wish to attend but eat neither lobster nor steak). Hot dogs will be provided, at no charge, for children. Bring EATING UTENSILS INCLUDING STEAK KNIVES AND LOBSTER CRACKERS! AND LAWN CHAIRS.
